Wood Canyon Coffee

Wood Canyon Coffee

Terms of service

Effective September 14, 2026

The short version

You subscribe, we deliver coffee to your porch on a schedule, and we charge the card on file $18 per bag on delivery day, only for bags actually delivered. Change or skip anything before Monday night; after that it applies to the next delivery.

No fees, no contract, cancel whenever you like. If a bag is not right, we replace it. If it is late off the roaster, the next one is free. If we say we delivered and you say we did not, you win.

The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Wood Canyon Coffee (“we”), a coffee delivery service at 23986 Aliso Creek Rd Ste A12, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677, for the website and the deliveries. By signing up you agree to them. You need to be at least 18 and have a delivery address we can reach; addresses outside our current ZIP codes go on a waitlist until a route opens.

The subscription

A subscription is a standing order: one to three 12 oz bags per delivery, in the coffees and grinds you choose, every week or every two weeks. Biweekly households are assigned to an alternating delivery week by us, to keep the route balanced; we will tell you which Saturdays are yours before your first delivery.

Deliveries happen Saturday morning. As routes grow we may add a Sunday morning route for some neighborhoods, and we may shift a delivery day around holidays; either way you hear about it in advance, by email and, if you opted in, by text.

The Monday cutoff

Each delivery is locked at the cutoff, Monday night before the delivery. Skips, extra bags, and changes to your plan, grind, or address made before the cutoff apply to that delivery; anything after applies to the following one. That is because we order from the roaster on Tuesday and the coffee is roasted Thursday specifically for that Saturday.

Billing

  • The price is $18 per bag, delivered, for every coffee and grind. The current price is shown when you sign up and in your account.
  • We charge the card on file on delivery day for the bags actually delivered. Skipped deliveries, paused weeks, and bags we could not deliver are not charged. There are no membership, delivery, or cancellation fees.
  • We do not currently collect sales tax; packaged coffee for home use is treated as a food product in California. If that changes, tax is shown on your receipt.
  • Credits (referral, replacement, goodwill) are applied to your next charges automatically. Credits are not cash and are not refunded or transferred.
  • If a charge fails, we email you and retry over the following days. Deliveries continue for a short grace period while you update the card; if it is still failing after that, the subscription is paused until a card works.
  • You get an emailed receipt for every charge.

Skipping, pausing, and cancelling

All three are yours to do, any time, from your account, with no fee and no explanation needed. A skip applies to one delivery. A pause stops deliveries and billing until you resume; we hold your spot on the route for up to 8 weeks, after which a resumed subscription may be placed on a different delivery week. Cancelling ends the subscription; bags already delivered are charged and nothing else is. We keep your account so you can come back.

Our guarantees

  • Freshness promise. Every bag carries its roast date. If a bag reaches you more than 7 days after roasting, your next bag is free.
  • No-questions replacement. If a bag is stale, damaged, the wrong grind, or missing, tell us and it is replaced or credited on the next delivery. No proof required beyond a message.
  • Missed delivery. If a stop is marked delivered and you tell us it was not, you win: we deliver a replacement within two days or reverse the charge.
  • Response time. Messages are answered within one business day; messages on delivery day are answered the same day.

Deliveries and instructions

We leave the bag where your delivery instructions say, and we send a delivery notice with the time and, when possible, a photo. Keep your address, gate code, and instructions current in your account; if we cannot reach the porch (a gate we cannot open, an address that does not match) we will try to contact you, and a stop we cannot complete is not charged. Once the bag is where you asked, it is in your care, but if something goes wrong out there, tell us and we will make it right.

Trial bag

New households may order one trial bag: a single 12 oz bag at $12, charged on delivery, or free when the household was referred by an existing subscriber. A trial is not a subscription; nothing else is charged unless you start deliveries. One trial per household and per address. The guarantees above apply to trial bags.

Referral program

Every subscriber has a referral link. When a new household signs up through it, that household’s first bag is free, and when it completes its first paid delivery the referrer receives a $18 credit. Credit is applied to future charges; it is not cash, is not paid out, and is not transferable. A household cannot refer itself, an address that already had a trial, or a household that already subscribes. We may change or end the program with notice, and we may withhold credit where the program is being gamed.

Gifts

A gift subscription is paid by the giver, per delivery, on the giver’s card, for a fixed number of deliveries. The recipient controls grind, instructions, and skips; skipped deliveries are not charged and do not count toward the total. A gift ends after its last delivery unless the recipient chooses to continue on their own card.

Price changes

Price changes are rare. If the per-bag price changes, we email every subscriber at least 14 days before it takes effect; you can skip, pause, or cancel before then without charge. Continuing deliveries after the date means you accept the new price.

Your account

You sign in with a link we email you; keep your email address current and do not forward sign-in links. Anyone you add as a household contact can manage the subscription. Texts are governed by our text message terms, and how we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.

What we are responsible for

We are a small business and we will fix real problems, as the guarantees above describe. Beyond those guarantees, the service is provided as is, and our total liability to you for anything connected with it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the problem. Nothing here limits rights that California law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email you before the change takes effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to receive deliveries after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute we cannot settle over email or a phone call is handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.
